About the builders of the church
The dome of the temple is 12 tonnes heavy, its diameter is 10,7 meters and its height is 5,5 meters. It is made of steel entirely and it is one-of-a-kind in our country. All steel constructions that built up the church were produced in the factory of Helios Metal Center, transported to the church and assembled on the spot. The dome has been lifted and fixed at 10,48 meters height by a 72 tonnes crane. The lifting of the dome took more than 30 minutes, as the crane moves with a speed of 20 meters per hour, due to safety requirements. The metal cladding of the dome is also made from stainless steel, more precisely from iron (tin) sheets with titanium coating, that look a bit a like fish scales. The padding was produced and fixed on the dome by Ukrainian craftsmen, who were exclusively invited by the main donator – Mr Vassilev. They have also installed the two crosses on top of the bell tower and the dome, which have also been produced in Ukraine. The facade of the temple is again decorated in Russian style – white walls, on top of which a blue dome stands out, decorated with golden stars and surrounded by smaller, golden domes.
The donator Mr Vassilev has carefully picked the people who work in the construction of the church. The results so far act as a proof of the true craftsmanship of all, who have taken part in the building process.
