His Holiness father Dobromir – Chancellor of the Seminary ‘Sveti Kiril i Metodii’ (Saints Cyril and Methodius) in Plovdiv. His profound knowledge of the Christian laws (‘canons’) applied by the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, coupled with his spiritual enthusiasm and valuable advice, ensure the construction adheres to all 

Mr Kiril Vassilev is the main donator to the construction of the church. His inspiration, eagerness and determination to establish this fine-looking church have been the driving forces of this pleasing to God deed. His wish is that the ‘Saint Nikolay’ basilica would be built according to the Eastern-Orthodox canons and that it is going to be granted to the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

Mr Ilko Nikolov is the architect of the church ‘Saint Nikolay’. His vision of beauty and fine proportion and his professional experience have been a valuable asset in the completion of this project.    

Mr Krasimir Mihaylov is the legal advisor of the project. His background in the legal profession and his devotion to the cause guarantee that the construction of the church is executed according the Bulgarian laws.

Mr Zdravko Dimitrov is the mayor of district ‘Zapaden’ of the Plovdiv municipality. His proposition to grant the plot for the construction of the basilica to the Bulgarian Orthodox Church has been voted for by the City Council. He has granted his full support to the project as a previous Regional Governor and current Member of Parliament.
